International Co-operative Alliance Research Conference - Pula, Croatia 2014

The International Co-operative Alliance Committee on Co-operative Research (CCR) held its 2014 international research conference in Pula, Croatia on 25-28 June 2014. Hosted by the University Juraj Dobrila, the conference brought together co-operative researchers, students, and practitioners and provided a networking opportunity for local co-operatives.
The conference included presentations by researchers from around the world on such topics as the Alliance's Blueprint for a Co-operative Decade, co-operative finance, agriculture and social co-operatives and co-operative education. The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Ha-Joon Chang, a world-renowned economist and author of Economics: The User's Guide.
The conference also featured the launch of both the CCR website and the Young Scholars Network, as well as a special tribute to the late Canadian co-operative historian and educator, Ian MacPherson. In addition to the speeches and panel presentations, conference participants enjoyed a gala dinner at the Agro Tourism Site and visited the Co-operative Fair and Farmers' Market in downtown Pula.
