Despite the concept of a worker co-operative not being common in Japan, the sector has reported a turnover of 27 billion yen (USD343 million) and has over 40,000 members.

Back to the Co-op Future: Early Roots

Cyprus International Year of Cooperatives Conference

On the occasion of 2012, declared by the UN as the International Year of Cooperatives the Cyprus National Committee for the International Year of Cooperatives invites you to the 2012 International Year of Cooperatives Conference in Cyprus. The Conference, which is organized in cooperation with Cooperatives Europe, will take place at the International Conference Center in Nicosia on the 28th to 29th of September 2012, during the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the EU.
