5th Convention on co-operative banks in Europe-EACB — Belgium

The 5th edition of the Convention on co-operative banks will take place in the context of the UN International Year of Co-operatives (IYC). The motto of the IYC is “co-operative enterprises build a better world” in line with the Millennium Development Goals. At European level, the Single Market Act for a social market economy has already triggered a number of initiatives within the EU institutions as the expectations rise for co-operatives and co-operative banks to build a better society based on social and sustainable models in the economy in line with EU Agenda 2020.

International Conference for Cooperation Economy

On February 15th, 16th and 17th, 2012 will be held in the city of Barranquilla, the Second International Conference of Solidarity Economy in the Convention Center-Grand Boulevard Hotel Sonesta. The event will feature speakers from renowned national and international economic issues and the solidarity sector in general.

As part of the academic agenda, the event will develop a series of workshops, which will touch on current issues within the sector to the discussion of stakeholders.

Building a Better World: The Role of Cooperatives and Mutuals in Society

We are organizing the first ever research conference on cooperatives to take place in New Zealand. The newly founded, New Zealand Association for the Study of Cooperatives and Mutuals, is formally organizing this conference.

The First Social Network for Cooperatives
