Call for Papers: The Special Issue 2019 ICA Review of International Cooperation

Cooperative enterprises involve diverse groups of individuals gathering and working toward a common goal. Research has shown that this diversity of voices, backgrounds, and perspectives comes with challenges, but can also be a significant strength for cooperatives. This cooperative advantage can be maximized in cases where governance structures enable inclusive and meaningful engagement from members.

Call for young scholars for Regional Co-operative Research Conference in Buenos Aires

The ICA CCR Young Scholars Program, the Young Scholars Initiative Working Group on Co-operatives and Co-operation, and Wageningen University & Research are jointly convening a workshop on Co-operatives and Co-operation.

Report from the 12th ICA-AP Research Conference

The 12th ICA-AP Research Conference was held at Sungkonghoe University, Seoul, on 11-12 November 2017. Seventy members took part from Australia, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Nepal, South Korea, Philippines, United Kingdom, United States and Vietnam. The conference was opened by welcome addresses by the President of Sungkonghoe University, Vice-Mayor of Seoul City and Chairperson of iCOOP Co-operative Institute. The congratulatory address was made by Mr Balu Iyer, ICA-AP Regional Director.

A silent transformation – a film about co-operatives

A new documentary tells the story of the co-operative enterprise model as an alternative to the capitalist economy. Created by Simon Brothers, Luke Mistruzzi, Anton Smolski, and Mark Preston, the A Silent Transformation focuses on the transformative power of the co-operative enterprise model across the Canadian province Ontario.
