Oikocredit Germany is organizing a three-day conference called "Cooperatives: motors of development”. The event is organized in cooperation with the Protestant Academy Bad Boll, the United Nations Association of Germany and Fairtrade Germany and sponsored by the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development. Dame Pauline Green, president of the International Co-operative Alliance (ICA), is to chair the United Nations Advisory Group for the International Year of Co-operatives (IYC). The group will provide guidance, support and assistance to the Coordinating Committee in implementing the mandate and objectives of the IYC.

ICA's Coop’Art Competition launched to capture imagination of Creative Young Co-operators

The Coop’Art competition, which invites young people to express themselves co-operatively, is officially launched at the ICA’s General Assembly.

A global artistic competition designed to encourage youth to creatively express their views on co-operative principles was launched today by the International Co-operative Alliance (ICA) at their General Assembly.  

A camera, an instrument or a voice is all entrants will need to be able to participate in the competition.
