2014 Co-operatives Europe General Assembly

Cooperative businesses and organisations from around Europe will meet in Warsaw to debate, exchange and develop new ways of enhancing the cooperative business model for a prosperous and equitable Europe. The event is organised by Cooperatives Europe and the National Cooperative Council of Poland.

From Jumbo Farm to Jam Factory

The Co-operative Wholesale Society (CWS) celebrates its 150th anniversary this year. This temporary exhibition will explore the early development of the CWS from its origins at a Jumbo Farm tea party to its position as a major manufacturer.

Find out more about the people who helped to create the CWS, the difficulties they faced and their successes. Take part in interactive games and activities as you follow the exhibition through the museum, hold a tea party to learn more about the CWS Preserve Works in Middleton and share your own memories of the CWS.
